Overview:
Old Monk, new restaurant. The proprietors of this new venture have taken over the space that once housed Babu Ji, so the neighborhood will not be lacking a great Indian restaurant. The corner space is polished and slightly dark, with some great artwork hanging above patrons. The chef has taken a cuisine that is generally reserved for sitting on your couch and made is not only modern but beautiful to behold. Dishes aren't just pretty, they are inventive and full of flavor. Everything is good to share, like contemporary takes on naan bread with goat cheese and honey chili chicken. There is a large variety in entrees; I'd suggest the grilled lamb chops or coconut curry prawns. Beer & wine coming soon.
